Guide to installing the updates. Must read before installing newer version.
Prior to installing update patch, you must take care of the following:
1. You must close the program before you install update. If you use this program in several workstations,
you have to update new version to the all computers in the same time.
2. You can only install version 5.5 if you have already version 5.0. If you are, for instance, using
version 4.5 you must first update it as version 5.0. You can check your version number by clicking
“About” button on the upper menu. If it says version 5.0 on the “General” interleaf, you
can install update patch for version 5.5.
You must also note, that if you want to update software from version 4.5 to version 5.5,
you have to run program at least once after installing version 5.0 and after this you can
update your software to version 5.5.
3. Check that you have been authorized as user, because otherwise updating does not work.
This is done by clicking “About” button on the upper menu. If it says "Authorization
done: Yes” on the “General” interleaf, authorization has been made. If it says No, wait
for couple weeks so that program will ask for authorization, after which you can run updates.
4. If you are using your own report sheets you have to copy them from "Pohjat" folder
and store them somewhere else before running an update, because update saves new report sheets over
the old ones. If you want to use old report sheets after installing an update, you have to copy the
old report sheets after the installation back to "Pohjat" folder or make necessary changes
to the new report sheets.
5. Make a backup copy of the version you are using before installing an update so that you can
restore the old version if the update for some reason doesn’t work. If update doesn’t work,
make a report to Comeira Ltd’s customer service and tell as accurately as possible what went
wrong when making an update.
